Test Anxiety? Meh...it's no big deal! We have what it takes!

Testing week is once again upon us! Yes, you read that correctly and yes it is just the first full week of school, however these are PRE-tests.  These tests give me as the teacher and my students a wealth of information needed to set goals for the year.  I do not expect my students to exceed standards on this test.  It is full of content that they have not been exposed to.  The results will show me what they already know and how I can build that understanding as well as what they need to be exposed to.  We will find fun ways to teach and learn from one another.  In this classroom, I do not see myself as the "Almighty Teacher", I see myself as a facilitator of learning.  Each of us in this room has the power to reach any goal set before us! Can't wait!

  1. I have always taught my son that tests are not your enemy, they are there to help find out what you know, or what you may need more help with. I have also always told him that he is not a test result, or score. :)

  3. I wanted to add that this does not mean we shouldn't ever try to do our very best. The words "I can't" does not exist in our vocabulary. ;-)
