Reading:

Author's Position

You will be reading sets of non-fiction text to determine the author's position on the topic.  Is the author "for" or "against"?  How does the author feel about a topic?  How do you know?  What evidence does the text give you that supports your answer?

Math:

Fractions! Decimals! Percents! OH MY!

What's a fraction?  How is it related to decimals and percents?  How do we know which fraction is larger? What order do they go in?  What is an improper fraction? A mixed number? How do I convert them? WHOA! Lots to do and so little time! Don't worry...here is some practice and just pay close attention in class! You got this!
